Marilynn Chadwick believes that God still speaks today. Her passion is to inspire others listen to His voice in a busy, noisy world. With warmth and wisdom, she’ll help you discover practical ways to make listening to God a natural part of your daily routine. She invites you to take a life-changing journey in prayer.
Marilynn’s story is about what happens when one ordinary woman decides to pray not just for the needs of her own personal world but also for God’s larger world. Her journey has allowed her to see miracles up close in her own home and as far away as genocide-torn villages in Africa.
Marilynn and her husband David have served Forest Hill Church in Charlotte where David is head pastor for thirty nine years. They have three grown children and five grand children. Her educational background includes a BA in Journalism and International Communication from the University of Georgia and a Masters in Human Development and Learning (MHDL) from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She has also studied at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.
Marilynn founded Seeds of Hope, a non-profit that provides education for kids with big dreams but lacking in resources. She is also the co-founder and principle speaker of Women Under Construction, an outreach of Forest Hill, now in its 25th year. She has worked with various urban ministries throughout Charlotte and has had extensive overseas missions experience, with travel on six continents and eleven countries in Africa. Marilynn has just completed a book on prayer called Sometimes He Whispers, Sometimes He Roars: Learning to Hear the Voice of God. It was released by Simon and Schuster’s Howard Books in January 2012. She’s also the author of Eight Great Ways to Honor Your Husband and Woman of Valor by Harvest House Publishers.
